We did it!! Not only did we do what we had planned but we also managed to sneak iin an assault on Angel’s Landing in Zion NP, Calf Creek Falls in Escalante NM, and a quick first visit to Joshua Tree NP, all in all an epic 15 day trip!
During the trip we hiked around 90 miles with about 15,000 feet of Elevation Gain (and fall) most of it above 5,000 feet above sea level.
Our timing was perfect and we had good weather every day with one small exception on the North Rim of Grand Canyon, if we had been a few days later we would have been caught up in SW Monsoon storms in Zion, Bryce and lastly Grand Canyon that caused multiple flash floods the last of which devastated the North Kaibab Trail and caused three hiker deaths, rather too close for comfort!!
Between three mobile phones and the trusty Canon R5 II thousands of photos including many many selfies were taken… we will be editing for weeks to come but the galleries below contain a selection from all the places we visited during the trip, and commentaries are provided where we have had time to write suitable text.
